Laboratory Testing For Infectious Illness

Blood counts, baseline organ function tests, and infectious disease testing are all performed in laboratories. To perform point-of-care or reference lab testing, your pet may have blood or urine samples obtained from them. Point-of-care tests are completed in-hospital, so we can receive results and therapeutic suggestions as quickly as possible. Lab samples may need to be sent to off-site laboratories when a test cannot be performed using the hospital's lab equipment or when test results are not urgently required (reference laboratories).

Diagnostic Imaging

The diagnosis of diseases of the heart and lungs, gastrointestinal obstruction, tumors of the internal organs or bones, fluid in the chest or abdomen, gallstones or urinary stones, diseases of the reproductive system, and issues with the bones and joints is made possible by imaging techniques like x-rays and ultrasound. Most patients can be comfortably restrained throughout these procedures; however, sedation may be necessary in some cases.
